ERRIGAL TRAINING ACADEMY - Training is our Future

For many years now, the shortage of labour and the challenges of finding skilled operatives has been a key topic of conversation at Errigal. We believe that the training and development of our operatives and staff to the highest standards in our own training facility will better equip us for the future. The Errigal Training Academy was established at the end of 2015 and our first group of 16 trainees started in January 2016.

Our vision is to train 200 operatives in the next 3 years.

We are market leaders in our sector and we believe training is the way forward. With a better qualified and certified workforce, Errigal will benefit and so too will the industry.

Our training programme is taking a holistic approach to equip the trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary for site. Through various training methods, we will increase the level of technical capability and knowledge that they have of the Drylining trade. They will qualify with a City & Guilds Diploma in Drylining. Alongside this, we will train them in the following areas;

  •  - Manual Handling
  •  - CSCS / Safe Pass
  •  - First Aid at Work
  •  - PASMA, IPAF & MEWP
  •  - Fire Safety
  •  - Waste Management
  •  - Financial Budgeting
  •  - Personal Development Skills
